Theatre aimed at empowering minorities in Eugene opens with “Having Our Say”

DIRECTORS CAROL HORNE Dennis and Stan Coleman decided to start a theatre company in Eugene, Oregon that would tell the stories of minorities who often are not represented in their area. The first reading for Minority Voice Theatre will be Emily Mann’s “Having Our Say”. Directed by Coleman, the play follows two women through a century of African-American history. The reading will take place Feb. 26th at Tsunami Books in Eugene in honor of Black History Month.
