Feeding the 5000 makes a stop in Union Square

According to NRDC Senior Scientist Dana Gunders, the campaign is meant to bring awareness to food waste in the United States and around the world. She said, “About 40 percent of all the food in America never gets eaten. And it’s a huge waste of resources. It’s a huge waste of money.”
