Headhunt Revisited doc receives NEA Award

THE TEAM BEHIND Headhunt Revisited has been chosen to receive one of 9 grants awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts to support the production of an individual documentary in this funding round. The film, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, follows the story of American portrait artist, Caroline Mytinger and her friend, Margaret Warner, who traveled to Papua, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in the 1920s so Caroline could paint portraits of the indigenous people, as well as the modern day artists and explorers who have picked up where Caroline left off.

For more information about the film, check out their website here and then listen to our conversation with the film’s director, expedition leader, and photographer, Michele Westmorland here.
