Hello Everyone,
It is with deep sadness that we share some news with you all. On Friday, October 14, at 8 pm, Sandi Klein died peacefully, surrounded by family.
Sandi started this podcast several years ago and, in that time, has had so many inspiring conversations with so many different women – artists, filmmakers, writers, bodybuilders, chefs, cartoonists, environmentalists, activists, comedians, teachers, musicians, and the list goes on and on and on. Sandi was always quick to give us the perfect pun and seamlessly flowed from question to question without missing a beat. Her gift for conversation was unparalleled, and her thirst for connection through chat was never satisfied.
She loved every interview and often acutely pointed out the “strong sense of self” each interviewee possessed. But she forgot to mention her own “strong sense of self.” Sandi put her conversation partners at ease because of her innate ability to comfort those around her. She touched so many lives on and off the air and will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and beyond.
Details for an upcoming memorial service will be forthcoming from her family through their CaringBridge site, and they ask that we please hold off on sending flowers or food to Sandi’s home for now. We will also have information about our plans for this podcast and website soon. In the meantime, you are welcome to share well wishes and tributes to her loved ones on the site and here if you’d like.
As Sandi’s sons wrote on the CaringBridge site:
Her body is no longer with us, but she has given every single one of us the ability to continue to experience her forever, even for those of us who have yet to meet her.
Sandi is evergreen.
