Michele Westmorland wins Fellow of the Year at iLCP conference

0

AT THIS YEAR’s iLCP (International League of Conservation Photographers) conference, “WildSpeak,” conservation photographer Michele Westmorland won the “Fellow of the Year” award for her work on her documentary project, HEADHUNT REVISITED. The award is designed “to honor the extra time and energy that is spent when that commitment is made to iLCP.”

In an announcement given by Buffy Redsecker, Chairman of the Board of iLCP, she wrote, “This year’s awardee stands out for her dedicated service as a board member and as an advocate for iLCP events around the world … She’s the first person with her hand in the air volunteering for whatever is about to be asked, often without knowing the ask before volunteering. She’s a mentor to many of us, and one of the most inclusive and collaboratively minded people in any profession I’ve had the pleasure to know.”
