MURAL ARTS PHILADELPHIA Monument Lab is the latest public art and history project in Philadelphia. Its goal is to spark discussion about what a monument looks like today. The project kicked off July 15th with Kara Crombie’s Sample Philly, a giant interactive boombox/recording studio in Philadelphia’s Franklin Square. Mural Arts Philadelphia Executive Director Jane Golden said, “We’re excited to push people to think beyond their preconceived idea of what a monument is.”
