THE AUTHOR OF 17 plays, Karen Malpede, sat down with American Theatre to talk about the remounting of her play, “The Beekeeper’s Daughter.” It tells the story of a pregnant Muslim refugee who is embraced by an eccentric American family living on an idyllic island in the Adriatic. The show will be at the Theatre for the New City from June 2nd to the 26th.
